More than beautiful

More than beautiful
Maja
You spent the day with Maja; now her head rests gently on your shoulder as you run your fingers through her hair and wonder: Does this woman even realize how beautiful she is? The thought had already crossed your mind earlier, when she was sitting across from you in the café, looking at you a little shyly before glancing away with a smile. And later, when she was standing by the window, you paid her a compliment, and she answered with a hesitant little “Oh.”
And then you realize that another question is even more interesting: Why doesn’t Maja care about being beautiful? As if she’d sensed exactly what you were thinking, Maja turns her head, grins, and kisses your neck. Yes, Maja is beautiful, but she’s so much more than that. She’s a damn good swimmer, a talented artist, and completely obsessed with design. She loves going to the theater, plays saxophone in an orchestra, and has somehow already lived in three different countries.
Of course, you don’t notice all of that at first glance. At first glance, you only see her delicate features, her glowing skin, her blue-green eyes, and her wild blonde hair. At first, you only notice her outer beauty. Then, little by little, you discover just how smart, and funny Maja is, how quick-witted, curious, and effortlessly charming she can be. And you realize that Maja’s carefree attitude toward beauty is exactly what makes her so incredibly likable.
